Russia will send Mexico the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine for the third stage of clinical trials. This was announced by the head of the Mexican foreign Ministry, Marcelo Ebrard, reports the publication El Universal.

According to Ebrard, a total of at least two thousand doses were offered to Mexico for testing. They are expected to start in September this year.

Earlier it was reported that 40 thousand people will take part in post-registration trials of the Russian vaccine. The goals are not only to study the immunogenicity and safety of the vaccine, but also to evaluate its epidemiological effectiveness.
